LLONGUERAS CLOTET ARCHITECTS, founded in 1985 by Rosa Clotet and Jan Llongueras, has worked in the public health system, local government, and the Barcelona city council, as well as giving lectures on architecture at the local university.
Currently, their architectural services are mainly dedicated to the public sector, housing, refurbishments, education and public spaces, with a special emphasis on enhancing environments for healthcare. The aim of the studio is to go advance in their specialization of the humanization of public hospitals for children or adults, without ignoring sustainability aspects.
Rosa Clotet graduated as an architect from ETSAB (Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona) in 1982, interior and industrial designer from ELISAVA school. Architect of the Urban Projects Service of the Barcelona City Council for 7 years, 1980/1987.
Currently, member of the court of the Enabling Master (PFC) of the School of Architecture ETSAB, UPC.
She has been professor of Interior Design at Eina School of Architecture (UAB - Autonomous University of Barcelona) from 2003 to 2019. She has been part of the Court of PFC (final degree project of interior design) of the EINA school 2006, 2011 and 2017. Professor and member of the re-titling Court of Final Degree Projects PFG in Eina since 2012. As a teacher at Eina she has obtained the Habitàcola Awards (ADIFAD) 2013 and 2017. She has participated in several conferences on sanitary architecture invited along with Jan Llongueras as a speaker at several sustainability conferences, especially Melbourne 2008.
Maria Llongueres is an Architect graduated from ETSAB (Escuela Técnica Superior Arquitectura BCN). Specialized in health architecture and currently specifically in health emergency buildings COVID by the administration. Specialized in fast execution buildings, with packs of architecture and construction. Experience in recent years in reducing design and construction time with Lean and Bim procedures. Within LCA she is responsible for projects such as the new Abat Oliva Postgraduate building, the extension of the multipurpose building at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, the new multipurpose building at the General Hospital of Granollers, the extension of the emergency room at the Santa Caterina Hospital for emergency COVID, associative premises in Tiana, dialysis center in Terrassa, swimming pool and environments in Menorca and several apartment renovations. Currently, apart from being a project writer with Joan and Rosa, she is in charge of the management of the office.
Joan Llongueras graduated as an architect from the ETSAB (Barcelona School of Architecture) in 1978. He was architect of the Architecture Service of the General Directorate of Health Care of the Generalitat de Catalunya 1982/1987. Specialized in sanitary architecture.
Currently, professor of the Master directed by the Architect Mario Corea LABORATORY OF HEALTH CARE HOSPITAL ARCHITECTURE alongside Martí Ballart (No physical resource CATSALUT) and Lídia Planas (Ramón Sanabria associated architects).
Invited as President to the jury of the Swimming Pool & Wellness Awards at the Barcelona Construction Show October 2015.
He is part of the Court of PFG ETSAB (final project of Degree Escuela Técnica Superior Arquitectura Barcelona).
